Just Got Married!

Just got married Tuesday evening to Maria Elisa in the Sacramento Temple. She is from Italy, and we'll be heading there in a week to stay for a month for our honeymoon. Rose from Rose Photography did the photography (Rose and I have worked together, and she has photographed at the Sacramento temple). Maria Elisa and I are both extremely happy. It's great to be with someone you really love.

East Stake TREK- Mormon Pioneer Handcart Activity

Just got back from 4 days in the wilderness, photographing the 2009 East Stake TREK, an activity for the youth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where they reenact for 4 days the handcart trek made by the early pioneers headed to the Salt Lake Valley. Although they do have some "comforts", like porta-pottys, prepared meals, water and gatorade, they don't shower for 4 days, and pull handcarts over 12 miles of trails, 1/2 of which is uphill (it feels like 3/4 of the way).

OK, even though I've been doing photography professionally for 26 years, I did my first maternity session yesterday! Summer and Nathan (great name), were a lot of fun, and it was sweet (yes, guys can use that word!) to see the love both between them and for their soon to be son, baby Kai (nice name too :) I think too often, the husband is somewhat forgotten in these sessions, or only included in a couple of pictures. Margo & Nick Wedding - Temecula, CA

2nd wedding of the year- 1st wedding on Saturday the 3rd in Sacramento, 2nd wedding in Temecula, 7 1/2 hours south, on Sunday the 4th. And, yes, I drove. Stopped in Visalia for the night to visit my dogs, Sunny & Molly.
But enough about me- Margo and Nick were very much in love, have a lovely daughter who was the flower girl, and had a lovely wedding at the Stonehouse at Temecula Creek Inn. Beautiful location, beautiful bride, OK looking groom (Nick, you know I'm kidding :), all making for wonderful pictures. Notice during the ceremony all the different angles. Some brides want 2 photographers, but I find many photographers who "camp out", during the ceremony, so all you get are two vantage points. I shot from over 6 different places during the ceremony, even though I covered this wedding myself. Click on the photo or the title or here to view the slideshow. And, as always, enjoy!
